JOKER Lab at CLEF 2025

Dr. Tristan Miller is co-organizing JOKER: Humour in the Machine, a lab at the 15th Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum (CLEF 2025).

The JOKER series, now in its fourth year, aims to advance research in the automatic processing of humour and puns. This year's edition features shared tasks on humour-aware information retrieval, wordplay translation, and controlled creativity.

The other workshop co-organizers are Liana Ermakova (Université de Bretagne Occidentale), Anne-Gwenn Bosser (École nationale d'ingénieurs de Brest), and Ricardo Campos (INESC TEC and Universidade da Beira Interior).

CLEF 2025 will be held on September 9–12, 2025 at UNED University at Madrid.
