CHum at ACL 2026

Dr. Tristan Miller is co-organizing the 2nd Workshop on Computational Humor (CHum 2026), a virtual workshop at the 64th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL 2026).

CHum 2026 aims to foster further work on modelling the processes of humor with current methods in computational linguistics and natural language processing, against the theoretical backdrop of humour research and with reference to relevant corpora of textual, visual, and multimodal materials.

The other co-organizers are Dr. Christian F. Hempelmann of Texas A&M University–Commerce, Dr. Julia Rayz of Purdue University, Dr. Ori Amir of Fulbright University Vietnam, and Dr. Tiansi Dong of the University of Cambridge.

ACL 2026 will be held in July 2026 in San Diego and online.
